Fayetteville runs “Pick Your Purrrice” cat adoption plan – Announcement – Ozarks Unbound

The Fayetteville Animals Shelter is overrun with kittens and adult cats. The Shelter has taken in almost 200 hundred more cats so far this year than they did in 2010. You can help through your adoption of a furry friend, and we are making that easier with a designated time period for you to pick your purrrice.

“We had such great success with placing cats on our Free Cat Friday event that we thought we would try an extended promotion this time” says Shelter Superintendent, Justine Middleton. Historically, feline adoptions have always been lower than canine adoptions at not only the Fayetteville Shelter, but also all around the country. “One of our main goals for 2011 is to focus on what we need to do to make people want to adopt a cat from us, rather than get a “free” cat from a friend or neighbor” stated Middleton.
