More lives in kitty thanks to pet adoption day in Vermont – Whitehorse Leader

THESE cats were on the prowl for a home last week as their nine lives were nearly used up.

PETstock held an adoption day last weekend to help cut the average of 615 cats put down in Melbourne’s animal shelters weekly.

Assistant manager Nicole White said the Cat Corner in Boronia made the special delivery of rescued cats to the Vermont store.

“We don’t sell any puppy farm animals or those purchased through breeders,” she said.

“We work with refuge organisations to help rehouse the animals that have been surrendered or abused.”
