Electronic newsletter helps Palm Beach County place shelter pets in new homes

Brodie doesn’t have a Facebook page or a Twitter account.

But with a look at the new electronic newsletter for the Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, you can learn he is a 3-year-old purebred Pug who is playful, housebroken and up for adoption.

Pet adoption at Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control has gone virtual with a weekly electronic newsletter that features 10 pets eligible for adoption. The “E-Rescue” email is available to anyone who signs up to receive it on the animal care and control website.

Marketing through email that first started in May has proven to be a success, said Dr. Becky Rhoades, an Animal Care and Control veterinarian.
