A Record Number of Felines Find Homes – Coronado, CA Patch

June was not a normal month at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. A record 28 cats found homes. In a given month, workers are lucky to adopt out six.

Not only was this a record, but it was a dramatic turnaround.

In May, only one cat found a home. Dozens of others lingered in cages, including one unfortunate fellow, Dillon, who had been there for a year.

Many credit looser procedures that began in June for the upswing, but others wonder if a special promotion caused the rise in adoptions.
