Palm Bay man dumps more cats at shelter; total now at 104 – floridatoday.com

The number of cats and kittens dumped by a single Palm Bay household at the Melbourne county-operated animal shelter has hit triple digits: 104.

Saturday, Hammock Road resident Justin White surrendered 23 additional cats — again, most of which are black and white — at the West Eau Gallie Boulevard facility.

His household had previously dropped off 81 cats since late April, straining resources and available space inside the crowded shelter.

White and Sarah Burrows became “overwhelmed with the amount of cats due to uncontrolled breeding,” enforcement records show.
