Broadway stars from ‘Sister Act’ and ‘Book of Mormon’ headlining pet adoption drive

Every night after the curtain falls on the Broadway hit “Sister Act,” the uptight Mother Superior sheds her habit then heads home to chill with her real-life angel.

“I get that typical unconditional love that you get from a dog,” said the show’s leading actress, Victoria Clark, of her golden retriever, Angel, whose photos are taped to her dressing room mirror at the Broadway Theater on W. 53rd St. “She really is my guardian angel.”

While the 9-year-old pooch may be the Tony Award winner’s constant sidekick and running companion, it’s Clark’s kitten Dare(devil) that rules the family’s upper West Side roost.

Clark adopted the finicky black-and-white kitty from the Artemis Project, a local nonprofit rescue group composed of actors and authors, when Clark’s son, Thomas Luke, now 17, decided that Angel needed a companion.
