This week is Cat Adoption Week at Humane League of Lancaster County, and the agency is waiving the adoption fee for all cats until Sunday.
Feline adoptions include spay and neuter assistance, basic vaccinations, a microchip for identification, a collar, complimentary exam at a participating veterinarian, cat food and 30 days of pet insurance. This week all of it will be free.
The League, at 2195 Lincoln Highway East, has had a cat population boom. It received more than 500 cats in May.
The League developed a “Cats of the Caribbean” campaign to showcase the shelter’s feline population. The goal is to find new homes for 750 cats by Aug. 31.
