Paws and Claws reduces adult-cat adoption fee – Post Bulletin

Paws and Claws Humane Society in Rochester has cut its adult-cat adoption fee by half and will offer the deal through the end of the month.

“The shelter is filling up with adult cats, which don’t get adopted as easily as kittens,” said shelter manager Tanya Johnson. “We just want to find them loving homes.”

Normally, the adoption fee to cover a veterinarian exam, neuter/spay surgery and vaccinations is $100. It is $50 now for cats 12 months or older, Johnson said.

Paws and Claws has 100 cats, 70 of which are in the shelter and 30 in foster homes.
