Palm Beach County’s Animal Care and Control and the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue league have dropped the cost of adopting cats this month as part of a nationwide effort to reduce the number of abandoned and unwanted pets in local shelters.
At the county’s shelter, kittens can be adopted for $20 and the fee for adopting adult cats over the age of 2 has been waived. Owners will receive a free bag of cat food and a healthcare certificate for free follow-up care at certain clinics.
