Fairfield Area Humane Society tight on space – Lancaster Eagle Gazette

The Fairfield Area Humane Society moved a little closer this week to a new quarantine building.

Corey Schoonover, executive director of the humane society, and Mark E. Nicholas, senior project manager with Keiser Design Group, provided the commissioners with plans for a new $150,000 building.

Nicholas said the new building would be approximately 40 by 55 feet and house six dog kennels and a separate area with 12 to 18 cat cages. A laundry facility would be included, along with a 17-by-40-foot garage.

It would be located behind the current humane society building, 1721 Granville Pike.
