Feline Frenzy: Free cat adoption in June – WRBL

The Lee County Humane Society is letting its feline friends jump the queue in June to try to level the playing field between cat and dog adoptions.

The shelter is waiving its $80 adoption fee for cats four months and older, but it’s keeping the same spay, neuter and vaccination perks that come with the adoption.

“Our cats a lot of times will get overlooked, and we have a lot of great cats that all need homes,” said Stacee Peer, Director of Public Relations and Outreach for the humane society.
