Pet adoptions new to home show this year (Duluth, MN)

Visitors to the Arrowhead Home and Builders Show can bring home new weatherproof siding or a new type of flooring, but they could also bring home a new pet. Seven area animal shelters will have about 500 dogs and cats available over the course of the show.

Home show organizers and animal shelter sources said including the animal shelters in the show will be a good chance to match pets up with adoptive families.

“We’re really excited about the opportunity to reach a whole different segment of the population,” said Madeleine Robins, development and communications director for Animal Allies Humane Society in Duluth. “We’re really hoping to have quite a few animals adopted.”
