We got Sam the Animal Shelter Dog at an adoption fair last fall for half price, because – like his master – he’s an old dog.
Best estimates are that he’s between seven and nine years old, which in “dog years” puts the two of us in the same demographic grouping. (We’ve both got gray hair around our mugs, we’re a little slow getting up from a nap, and our teeth are kind of worn.)
