50 SVAS cats still available for adoption (South Carolina)

Horry County’s Animal Care Center will continue to hold a Cat Adopt-A-Thon for the cats recently removed from the Sacred Vision Animal Sanctuary.

Lisa Bourcier, spokeswoman for Horry County, said about 50 cats were still available for adoption, and 40 cats have already been taken in.

The event will continue through the week until a majority of the cats have been adopted at the temporary holding facility, named the Animal Care Center South at 200 River Road behind Socastee High School.

The public can visit between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
