Harmony Haven in desperate need of adoptions, donations (Victorville, CA)

For the past four decades, Bobbie Perrin has been helping care for the High Desert’s unwanted dogs at Harmony Haven for Animals, a 5-acre ranch handed down to her by her parents and grandmother.

Now 82 years old, Perrin is ready to retire from the dog adoption business.

But first she has to find homes for more than 100 dogs — on top of the roughly 100 dogs and puppies she was able to adopt out earlier this month through rescue groups.

Perrin is struggling to manage the largest amount of dogs she’s ever had, just as she has lost her 15-year food supplier, and donations to her no-kill nonprofit shelter are down.
