More than 50 pups attempted to charm their ways into prospective owners’ homes at a dog adoption event Sunday.
The Hermann family, of Southington, was among those in deep debate Sunday.
Roxy, an energetic 9-month-old mixed chow-chow from Memphis, was 14-year-old Katie’s pick.
But Kiersten, 6, had found love in a sleepy 6-week-old mixed pit bull puppy that fit perfectly in her little arms.
While the family went home without a dog, it still may get one. No dogs went home with new owners Sunday, which was part of the plan all along.
“It’s more of a meet-and-greet,” said John Gagnon, who held the fourth annual adoption event at his John Gagnon’s Pet Resort on Upton Road.
