Tiny Cat Caged Most of Her Life (Johns Creek, GA)

This week’s featured pet has such a sad history. The cat program volunteers of Angels Among Us Pet Rescue first learned about this 11-month-old cat through an email from a concerned pet lover in South Georgia.

It seems that when her neighbors first took in a stray kitten, they decided that she would eat less — thereby saving them some money — if she were kept confined instead of allowed to roam around the house. She consequently lived most of her life in a small cage and was only allowed out twice a day to use a litter box. Essentially, she was a prisoner for almost all her life.

When hearing of her plight, Angels Among Us volunteers voted unanimously to take this little cat, whom they promptly named Angel, into their adoption program.
