Gladstone’s cat adoption crisis

DESPERATE times mean desperate measures.

That is exactly what Friends of RSPCA Gladstone has resorted to in a desperate bid to adopt out the large number of cats and kittens currently in foster care.

The group has been forced to conduct weekly Cat Adoption days to try find new homes for the estimated 80 felines they have rescued from the pound.

With their books full, the group is unable to save any more cats or kittens from the pound.

A situation which has devastated cat foster carer Anita Coad, who said she continues to get calls from the public to take more cats in.
