Pet-adoption tour to make stop in Savannah

The North Shore Animal League America’s Tour For Life 2011, a groundbreaking national tour geared to promoting shelter pet adoptions, will partner with the Humane Society For Greater Savannah for a special mobile adoption event at Grayson Stadium beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Tour for Life is the world’s largest cooperative national adoption initiative aimed at reinforcing the importance and advantages of shelter pet adoptions and familiarizing communities with their local shelter.

The tour was conceived by North Shore Animal League America — the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization — 11 years ago and is responsible for placing thousands of pets into loving and permanent homes.
