Dogs and their humans put on their Mardi Gras party gear Sunday to raise funds for a canine foster care agency specializing in medical rehabilitation.
This was the first year Our House of Hope Rescue held a Mardi Gras-themed fund-raiser, according to Executive Director Lisa Krinninger. The “Mardi Pawz” event was held at K-9 Playtime in Mundelein.
“I do like to do events that are different and family friendly,” Krinninger said.
Winter is a good time to hold a fund-raiser because donating “pretty much stops”, Krinninger said.
