Friends of the Plymouth Pound thanks neighbors for not ignoring stray dog

Bud was a stray found wandering around a local neighborhood. Friends of the Plymouth Pound has now learned that he was on his own and living in the woods at the end of a neighborhood’s streets for six to 12 months. The neighbors would leave food for him but were unable to capture him. He roamed the streets by day and went into the woods and howled all night.

As the winter approached, one woman decided to try to gain his trust. She started leaving him food and blankets for him to sleep on. One day, she sat down and talked to Bud and, lo and behold, he came closer to accept the food she was offering and she was able to snap the leash onto his collar.
