Our daughter Valerie adopted a scrawny yellow cat that was going to be euthanized the next day from a shelter in Atlanta. She named him Red. She took care for his many medical needs and also had him neutered.
A few months later he began to exhibit signs of excessive thirst and urination and was diagnosed with diabetes. Because of her work and travel schedules, Valerie could not care for a special needs pet. In January 2010, we offered to take Red and see how it worked out.
