Following the loss of our corgi, my sister Rita and I decided to register with a rescue group to adopt one. Our 5-year-old shih-tzu, Abby, was very lonely.
The rescue group contacted us about an available corgi at Young Williams Animal Center, however when Rita went to see it, it was not what she expected. When she turned the corner to leave, she heard snorting and became curious, thinking there was a pot-bellied pig for adoption. To her delight, there stood Oliver Twist, a snow-white, 2-year-old Pekinese.
