The Hudson County Animal League held a cat adoption event in Bayonne today to find permanent homes for fourteen cats and kittens currently in foster care.
Striped, spotty, solid black and orange, there was a variety of adoptable feline companions. They ranged from several months to several years old, and were all up to date with shots and spayed or neutered.
“A lot of [the cats] are abandoned or left on the street,” said Maureen Gallagher, Treasurer of the HCAL. “We find a lot of them in backyards.”
