Pet adoption story: Max and Shannon Gorman

A keening cry for help was all I could hear as the students loaded onto the school bus to head back to their school from the park. In the arms of one of the little boys was a tiny gray ball of fluff that sounded like a fire alarm. The little boy agreed to give me the kitten when I promised to try and find it’s mother, so we took the kitten back to the construction area where he found it. I put the kitten back among the old abandoned buildings getting ready to be torn down, walked off and waited. The mother never returned. So the kitten was adopted by me, and through me, our family.
