Pet adoption story: OJ and Lynda Bryan

About five years ago I lost one of my two precious cats, Tino. A couple of months later an orange male cat showed up on my deck to eat from my cat’s feeding dish. He was very skittish, but healthy looking, although he had no collar. I chased him away the first few times. He would be gone for days and then reappear.

One evening I was on my porch and saw the orange cat slowly ascending my steps. When we made eye contact he stopped mid-stride on the steps, waiting for me to chase him away. I soon learned he was very friendly as he plopped on his back and waited for a belly rub.
