L.I.F.E. House for Animals is implementing a program for people to take a shelter cat or dog into their home for two weeks, between December 18 and January 1. The foster program will be a welcome change of environment for these animals who now reside at L.I.F.E. House, waiting for a ‘forever home’. The warmth and attention that these creatures will experience during this brief respite could greatly enhance their chances for adoption, as they will become more socialized, and more comfortable in a setting other than L.I.F.E. House. Plus, the foster family might find that a pet will fit into their life-style permanently. But even if only for two weeks, it will be a rewarding experience for all who participate.
L.I.F.E. House for animals was established in 1997 by three board members who saw a need for a no euthanasia pet adoption facility dedicated to finding loving homes for pets in need. The Fido Court facility in Frankfort, KY opened in May 2003..
