City’s Saturday pet adoption fair sees two-thirds of its dogs and cats headed to new homes

Sixteen cats and 41 dogs have new homes for the holidays, after they were adopted out during Saturday’s “A Home for Every Holiday” adoption fair at the city’s Animal Care and Protective Services shelter at 2020 Forest St., and its Mandarin center at 10501 San Jose Blvd.

The new adoptees came from a pool of 38 dogs and 18 cats available for adoption at the city’s Riverside shelter, as well as 16 dogs and 13 cats looking for new homes at the Mandarin facility.
