Cat adoptions reach record high at TAILS in October

During the month of October, TAILS Humane Society adopted out a record high of 135 cats and kittens! Two promotions helped boost adoptions: Change Their Luck Black Cat Adoption Event and the on-going New Beginning Cats. For both events, adoption fees were waived for selected cats.

“I was shocked,” said Sam Lenser, creator of both promotions, “when I discovered that TAILS adopted out more cats during October than after the Rochelle hoarding of 2007 when 103 cats found homes. In 2008, we lowered our adoption fee for cats by $100 and adopted 119.”
