New TV show hopes to help pet owners

A new TV show aimed at educating pet owners in Doña Ana County is slated to begin Saturday.  The show, “Animal Talk with Dr. Beth,” will promote pet adoption by featuring adoptable animals and talk about pet ownership and care. Beth Vesco-Mock, director of the Mesilla Valley Animal Services Center, will be host.

The show airs 6 p.m. Wednesdays and 10 a.m. Saturdays on the Las Cruces Channel 98 on Comcast.  “It’s all about connecting TV viewers with local homeless pets at the shelter,” said Vesco-Mock.  Vesco-Mock said the program will emphasize viewer participation, and the public is encouraged to e-mail questions to her at drbeth@pals4pets.info.
