Not having the time or ability to care for a pet can often upset animal lovers, but even though adoption isn’t an option there are still plenty of ways to help homeless animals.
Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority Tax-deductible donations can always be made to local animal shelters and Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority provides a sponsorship program for their animal care center. According to the SVACA website, “our Animal Care Center Sponsorship Program provides a great opportunity for families, community groups and companies to support and help care for animals in need.”
Sponsors will receive an engraved plaque displaying their name. The plaque, which will be placed in the room of the sponsor’s choosing, can be used as a memorial to honor a pet or family member.
SVACA offers two sponsorship programs. The first is sponsoring the “Doggie Den”, “Kitty Kondo”, “Rabbitat”, or “All Creatures Great & Small” adoption rooms. These rooms can be sponsored for one year for $500 or three years for $1,200. The second is to sponsor “Wagger Way”, the dog adoption gallery, “Kitty Korner”, the cat adoption gallery, “Ya-Ya Room”, the indoor dog exercise room or “Barking Lot”, the outdoor dog exercise area. These sponsorships are $5,000 for one year or $12,000 for three years.
