Oakland County Animal Control is hoping that by Thanksgiving, five horses rescued earlier this year will have a new home to be thankful for. “I’d really like to see them have a new home by then,” said Sgt. Joanie Toole, administrative supervisor for Oakland County Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center.
The five remaining horses have some special needs — two are pregnant, one is blind, there’s a young mare who needs to be broken and a gelding in need of an experienced owner and rider.
