Cat adoption fees reduced at Safe Haven Humane Society (Oregon)

November is “Me and My Shadow” cat adoption month and to celebrate SafeHaven Humane Society is reducing its adoption fees and running specials on certain felines.

Those adopting any cat or kitten can also take home a black cat or kitten without having to pay an adoption fee for the second cat. Besides that special, through Saturday, Nov. 13, SafeHaven is showcasing the “Fab 5.” They are the cats that have been at the shelter the longest. Their adoption fees have been reduced to $15. Then from Nov. 13-30, cats 6 years and older will have their adoption fees reduced to $15.

SafeHaven is supported entirely by donations, adoption fees and fundraising events. Shelter hours are noon to 5 p.m. Saturday through Monday and noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The shelter is at 33071 Highway 34 in Albany. For more information, the shelter’s website is or call 541-928-2789.
