‘The Connies’ Collecting for Critters

The Connies need help. That’s the message Connie Darnall and Connie Stull, founders of Closets 2 Closets, one of the largest children’s consignment stores in Northeast Florida, want people to know.

These businesswomen aren’t requesting assistance for themselves. They’re asking people to help them collect much-needed supplies for the animals at the Mandarin Pet Adoption Center.

When Stull and Darnall moved from their old location near Loretto Road in June and quickly filled a 6,000-square-foot store at 10503 San Jose Blvd., they had no idea they’d become pals with the people at the city’s adoption center at 10501-2 San Jose Blvd.

“We’re both animal lovers, so we were thrilled about our new neighbors,” Darnall said.

Stull was so thrilled she adopted a dog from the center.
