TheOtherDogs.com, a website bringing attention to dog adoption in Arizona, officially launched today. The website is a resource for both Arizona dog organizations and those interested in adopting dogs in the state.
The website is the product of Aaron Shoemaker and Dustin Christensen, who created TheOtherDogs.com in an effort to curb dog overpopulation in Arizona and ultimately, to save the lives of dogs who are at risk of unnecessary euthanization. The goals of the website are to improve the quality of life for sheltered dogs, and to decrease dog overpopulation by raising awareness of local dog adoption events, agencies, as well as spaying and neutering procedures.
“Between overcrowded shelters and a weakened economy that has led more families to give up their dogs, the need for dog adoption has never been greater,” said Christensen. “Our goal with The Other Dogs is to reach those who are interested in dog ownership but aren’t aware of the many adoption opportunities available.”
