The first Pet Adoption Day will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 at the Lake Placid Animal Hospital, 5673 Cascade Road, Lake Placid, with animals in need of homes from the Tri-Lakes Humane Society.
There will also be face painting, a bake sale, a dog costume contest (winner will receive a year’s supply of Interceptor dog parasite medicine) and raffles with items donated by many local businesses.
