Little Calico Mira is a Little Trooper That Will Steal Your Heart

From Homeward Pet, Woodinville, WA:  Homeward had been contacted by a rescue group who had recently returned from a bad area in California where they regularly go to save dogs.

On this trip they brought back a bunch of little kittens as most felines from this town didn’t stand a chance. They were either euthanized or abused.

We took in 15 of these tiny kittens who were all in bad health but had tremendous spirit.

Little calico Mira had an upper respiratory infection, ear mites, fleas, an infected eye, coccidia and skin infections.

After many weeks in foster care and lots of great veterinary care (a big thanks to Northwest Animal Eye Specialists in Kirkland), this messed up little kitten emerged from her cocoon into a beautiful butterfly. It does truly “take a village!”

Mira is now a stunning, healthy six-month-old teenager who is such a charmer, our Homeward staff and volunteers have all fallen for this little trooper.
