Overcrowding Leads to Cat Adoption Special At SCRAPS

In September SCRAPS rescued 31 cats from a hoarding situation in Spokane Valley. Most of those cats have been adopted but some remained at SCRAPS for minor veterinary treatment. The cats are now available for adoption. “We are so full right now our isolation room is being used as an adoption holding area,” said lead Animal Protection Officer Nicole Montano. “SCRAPS is running a fantastic special on cats this week, for only the price of a license, you can adopt a wonderful new companion cat,” she continued. Since October 1st, SCRAPS has received over 140 cats at the shelter.

All cats at SCRAPS will be available for adoption for only the price of a $15 cat license on the following dates:

* Thursday October 14th/Friday October 15/Saturday October 16th.

* Hours of operation on those days are from noon until 5:30. The cats will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, licensed and will receive a free health exam.
