Stolen Pit Bull Returned to KCMO Animal Shelter

A pit bull stolen from Kansas City’s municipal animal shelter has been returned unharmed to the shelter, according to police.

Charmin, a white American Pit Bull Terrier Mix, was stolen from the Halfway Home Pet Adoption at 4400 Raytown Road on Monday morning. Staff at the shelter said that they feared that the dog, which they described as “a big, goofy, friendly dog that loved to go for walks” would be used for dog fighting or as a bait-dog.
