Hidden Shelter Surprises

Gerard is a great example. Nicole Laffey, executive director of the Yucaipa Animal Placement Society, met the big friendly dog during one of her many trips to a local shelter.

“He had mats everywhere and one was the size of a football,” she said, “but despite the obvious abuse and neglect he was a sweet, happy fellow.”
