A Waltham dog under threat of being shipped back to an Indiana shelter has found his “forever home.”

Quincy, a 2-year-old black lab living with a foster family in Waltham and featured on Patch earlier this week, has been adopted by a Charlestown man, according to Mary Schwager, a volunteer with Lucky Lab, who rescued Quincy.

Schwager said the Charlestown man did not want publicity and wished to remain anonymous.

As of yesterday, the Charlestown man had agreed to adopt Quincy, but had not yet picked him up, according to Schwager. Lucky Lab has vetted the man and deemed him OK to adopt the canine, Schwager said.

Lily needs a Christmas miracle! A happy, cuddly kitten, Lily came to the MSPCA Animal Care and Adoption Center at only one day old, along with her mom and brothers and sisters. At her five-week vet check-up, it was discovered that Lily not only had a heart murmur, but also an inverted sternum that was keeping her lungs from expanding fully. Thanks to the MSPCA’s Spike’s Fund, Lily received the vital surgery needed to correct the problem, and has been recovering in foster care ever since.

Now Lily needs her forever home! Her foster mom says of little Lily, “She really is the sweetest kitten. She loves to kiss and cuddle

The impending storm would not keep Beatrice from making it to her new home this weekend! All bundled up with a heating pad in her carrier, she arrived yesterday before the snow started falling. She came out of her carrier ready to play, and showed absolutely no interest in hiding. She wanted to sniff every inch of her new house, and a few times she even focused long enough to play with some of her new toys.
