Beautiful Cats Joey and Toby Need a Forever Together Home

Homeward Pet Adoption Center, Woodinville, WA:

It always amazes us how two cats can be brothers and look like polar opposites. Toby is a huge long haired orange and white kitty, possibly a little Maine Coon cat in him and his brother Joey is a short haired sweetie who is black and white with a little pencil moustache. Although they share no physical resemblance, their personalities demonstrate that they are very similar. Both are total lover boys and it’s often a contest to see who can purr the loudest!

These laid back bros don’t have a mean bone in their 3-year-old bodies.

They do like each other’s company so they really want to find a forever home together.

Joey and Tobey have become Homeward favorites –as much as we will miss them when they are adopted, we know that they will be bringing joy and smiles to their new family.

Sweet Little Black Cat Sophie Will Steal Your Heart

From FUR of the Upstate in Greenville, SC: My name is Sophie. FUR of the Upstate rescued me from a shelter. I am a very playful kitten, but I also like attention from people. I like to be picked up and loved on. When I was in foster care, I liked to lie on my foster mom. I would not even mind if she had to pick me up to reposition me, as long as I was getting attention then I was happy. I like my new friends Lincoln and Ella, it’s great fun to play with them. Are you be the person to give me a loving forever home?  Sophie is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Dumped Little Kitten Need a Forever Home (Georgia)

From Random Drift

Yesterday, my neighbors dumped a little kitten on my doorstep! Everybody in the neighborhood knows I have cats since they often see me outside playing with them. They knocked on my door and when I opened they said they found this kitten and their Grandmother told them that they could not keep it and that they should give it to me!

These neighbors had 2 cats when I originally moved in, neither sterilized. The female had kittens and when they were about 8 weeks old they (including the mother) disappeared. When I asked about them, they said they gave her and the kittens away. The male cat got into a fight, had huge wounds on it which became infected and he died. In both these cases I tried to talk them into getting the cats sterilized and taking the male to the vet. Their excuse was always that they did not have money, even though I found a low cost spay and neuter facility and gave them all the information. The mother cat was also extremely thin and constantly ran into my house to eat food. She seemed extremely underfed.

Sweet Siamese Calico Mix Cat Holly Really Want to be Loved

From FUR of the Upstate in Greenville, SC:  My name is Holly. FUR of the Upstate rescued me from a high kill shelter when I was pregnant. I had my babies in foster care. They have all been adopted. I am still in foster care because I have a scar one of my eyes. The veterinarian said I am fine and the scar will not cause any problems. I am very active. They told me I am two years old, but I think I am still a kitten. I am very social. I like to be with other cats and love to be with people. I like to lay in peoples laps and rub up against them. Are you the special person to give me a loving forever home?

Super Cat Adoption Day, Muskingum County Ohio

Some locals are adding a new member to their family.

The Animal Shelter in Muskingum County hosted it’s first ever Super Cat Adoption Day. All kittens and cats were available to purchase for only $10. The shelter was hoping the discount would entice families to step forward to adopt a pet.

“They have a good deal today and we figured if we get one we might even get two, that way it helps the shelter out and the kitties out,” said David Fereriks.

“To help a little kitty in need, or a cat, so it’s really great to help save a life,” said Lisa Ehrnfield.

Cat adoption day finds homes for 51 felines

ZANESVILLE, OHIO — Placing a yellow adopted tag on his cage, Linda Ehrnfield opened the cage door and picked up the grey and white kitten that would become the family’s new “furever” pet.

The young kitten was just one of the 51 felines that found homes Saturday during the “Super Cat Adoption” Day at the Muskingum County Animal Shelter Inc. on Newark Road. A special fee of $10 was charged for any feline, and included spaying or neutering, vaccinations, FIV and leukemia test, worming and a HomeAgain Microchip Larry Hostetler, director, said.

“You’re saving not only the life of a kitty but you’re getting a $40 savings,” Ehrnfield said. “It’s a real good opportunity to adopt a cat today with all the incentives,” Ehrnfield said.

Ehrnfield was not able to take the kitten home with her because it needed neutered before leaving the shelter. She will use the time to prepare for the kittens arrival. The kitten will have four children who will be playing with it.

“That’ll give me a few days to get the things (cat supplies) together. He’s a cute kitty but we’ll let the kids name him,” she said.
