Marley came from a horrible hoarding situation. There were over 250 dogs on the property where he was kept in a kennel with another dog. He must have never been socialized with people and it took 3 months before we were able to put leash around him and touch him. He still a little skittish and scared of people but has learned to walk on a leash quite nicely. He loves to go on hikes with his pack and loves to run and catch toys. He also now comes to get affection especially in the morning in bed. He gets all excited and tremendously enjoys being scratched and petted. He loves to hang with all the other dogs and integrated really well to the life here on the sanctuary. It is amazing to see how far he has come but would be doing well with someone who has another dog and who can give him lots of TLC, patience and understanding. He is about 2 years old and weighs 25 pounds

SHHH, I have a secret??This picture isn?t really me because my foster mom says I won?t hold still long enough for her to get a good picture. I?m just usually busy doing all the things most kitties my age are doing, like PURRing, playing, exploring and PURRing some more. I must tell you a couple of my most favorite things and they are playing with my many toys and CHICKEN. My mom found these wonderful chicken treats and that?s the only time I won?t share with my foster friends. THEY?RE MINE ! I am a very good girl and I like other kitties once I have a chance to get to know them ? kids are fun too because they will help to keep me entertained and I don?t even mind the old dog in my foster home. She is quiet and doesn?t chase me so we have a mutual understanding. If you are looking for a kitty that loves attention and loves to be with you, then STOP because you?ve found her. Paw Parent, Lancaster CA: (Pit Bull Terrier) Sampson – Medium – Male
Good,old Sampson, retired pirat was found wandering the streets. His retirement home could not be located and so he was brought to Paw Parent. He weihgs about 50 pounds and is probably between 10 and 12 years young. He must have had a rough life 
He walks with a limp which is due to an old injury he must have had on his right shoulder. He also has some arthritis in his hips. But that does not stop him from enjoying life!! He gets along with all dogs and is incredible sweet, affectionate and well behaved. Today I dicovered that he likes this large football shaped toy with a squeeker. He walks aroudn with it like a king. He is so proud and happy!! He would love to become someone’s companian to brighten up this persons life. Hi, my name is Milo and you really can?t tell by my picture but I have beautiful black ticking just like any abby should. My foster mom keeps telling me how proud she is of me because when my brothers (Frankie & Marty) and I came to her we weren?t so crazy about being petted but now I LOVE having my back and head rubbed. I try to be the first one at the door when my family comes home so that I get extra attention. I?m still a bit timid around new strangers but if you give me a few minutes to get to know you we will be good friends too. I am more laid back than my brothers but that doesn?t mean I don?t like to chase them, the laser toy or any other thing that moves, I?m just saying there?s nothing wrong with hanging out and having a cat nap or two during the day either. Gogolito is VERY loved by Pat but unfortunately he seems very unhappy and depressed since the daughter of his person moved away and he is left alone for too many hours now. His person is very upset about the situation and would love to be able to keep him but she works long hours and feels that it would be best for him to find a another home. Here is her story and description of gorgeous Gogolito: He was born July 7, 2001 in Fresno County. He arrived in Orange County California with his identification paper in a Persian Family. A Persian Cat in a Persian Family! We named him Gogolito, Mr. Flower. Gogolito is very calm, not aggressive at all. He does not know how to use his nails. He is just gorgeous and a king with humble and proud attitude. He is very independent but at the same token very attached and loving! Sierra will melt you with her adorable little face and her wonderfully energetic personality. She is SUPER PLAYFUL and full of spunk. She is a typical kitten that is usually on the move but she loves her petting time too. She loves to be carried around hanging over your shoulder because that way she?s sure to see everything. In her foster home she tolerates her other siblings and she certainly wouldn?t mind being an only child in her new home. She would love to be the center of attention. Paw Parent, Lancaster CA: (Domestic Short Hair) Simon & Garfunkel – Medium – Male
Simon and Garfunkel came from the streets, born to a feral mother. Thank God, kind people trapped them all and had them fixed, then asked Paw Parent to take the kittens. Aren’t they gorgeous? They are about 8 months old now and so very sweet. A little shy around people still, especially Garfunkel the grey one, but will never fight or scratch. They do like to get petted and love each other as you can see in the pictures. They are both very gentle, mellow and quiet. They are great using the litter box! They are both neutered and have their shots. They also both tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia. It would be great if they could go to a home together. Reilley is a total goof ball, from running around chasing his laser toy, attacking the water in the sink or playing hide-and-go seek, he is a total ham. He loves attention especially if he can have it all to himself. When he?s not off exploring or chasing something he likes to be petted but being picked up is something he?s working on but still a little out of his comfort zone. Maybe because there is just too much to do to be confined to one place. That is until it?s nap time them there?s no place like a comfy warm bed to snuggle up on. Paw Parent, Lancaster CA: (Chow Chow) Cindy – Medium – Female
Cindy is a very, very sweet Chow mix that came from a horrible hoarding situation in the desert. Over 200 dogs were kept on the property. Most of them running free and feral, not being fixed, having puppies in underground dens. It was a disaster!! Thank God, Cindy likes people though. She is a little shy at first but will nudge you softly from behind and give you very sweet, gentle kisses once she has a chance to get to kow you. She loves being pettet and groomed. She also is very playful and loves to run and play with the other dogs here. She enjoys hanging out outside the house more than inside but has overcome her fear of the house and comes inside more often now. She has all her shots, has been spayed and has a micro chip and is totally house broken.

Peanut is truly one of the sweetest boys around. From the minute he sees you the purr motor has begun and he?s rolling over and rubbing against anything he can find just so you?ll see how happy he is to see you. He still acts like a kitten from time to time especially when you?re playing with toys too. He simply wants to be interacting with his humans as much as possible. He is also fond of his daily cat naps in his favorite sunny window. He is so laid back and easy going that he gets along with all his foster siblings and doesn?t mind the old dog in his foster home either.
