UPDATE: Great News!
A woman who lost three “old” Maine Coon’s wants to adopt him. She is 51 and her husband 53 retired stay at home, no children, no pets and they LOVE kitties. Does it get much better than that?????
Thank you Thank you for all your help.
Taylors, SC – Grayson knew his mama was old and I guess was hoping she would live forever but at 92 she passed on. Her dying wish was that someone would be able to take him and give him a good home.
Nobody wants me because I am three years old and everyone wants a kitten just cause their cute. I am a huge handsome boy long-haired and a gorgeous shade of silvery gray. I will follow you wherever you go like a doggie and wait for you to sit down so I can come sit on your lap with you. I love to be brushed which I have to be with my beautiful long hair. I need to be an only kitty because I am a dominate boy. I have been neutered and given all my shots.
My time is running out where I am and I don’t think I would fair very well at the pound. Please call Carole Henderson for more information at 864-630-2872.
Please let all your kitty loving friends know about Grayson. Thanks.

In this season of good will, it is contrary to think about negative things. But I can't help but think about all the cats and kittens in this community who will never get a home. More than three quarters of all the cats and kittens that enter our county Animal Shelter will never come out alive. While some may be strays, many are also given up by owners for largely dubious reasons, mostly avoidable. Many if not most of all the cats and kittens, stray or owned, are adoptable, healthy felines.
Equally depressing are the ads in any newspaper's pet column advertising kittens “free to a good home.” How on earth do some of these people know what a “good home” is when they haven't even be responsible enough to spay their female cats.
“Free to a good home” ads are also invitations to people with heinous intentions. There are simply more cats and kittens than there are responsible and caring “forever” homes. So it with great joy I share this story of Bobbie, the homeless kitten who flew away.
Earlier this year, the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Montgomery County Animal Control and Adoption Service, entered into an agreement in which the Humane Society provides volunteers to help an understaffed Animal Control place the overwhelming number of dogs and cats who come through their doors.

The impending storm would not keep Beatrice from making it to her new home this weekend! All bundled up with a heating pad in her carrier, she arrived yesterday before the snow started falling. She came out of her carrier ready to play, and showed absolutely no interest in hiding. She wanted to sniff every inch of her new house, and a few times she even focused long enough to play with some of her new toys.
Beatrice’s new person, Charlotte who just turned 7- Happy Birthday Charlotte! has chosen to name her Alex, after her favorite character on The Wizards of Waverly Place. I think the name suits our mischievous little girl!
Congratulations, Alex! You get to be snowed in today with your new family!

The best thing that ever happened to Will, a year old run-of-the-mill white and brown tabby, was that he was hit by a car. If that fateful moment had passed uneventfully, the car swerved or Will’s timing had been a bit better, not only would we have no story, Will probably would have died.

Will's Wellness Wish has been GRANTED

Remember Will? He is the poor little kitty that got hit by a car. There’s good new here though, he was rescued, rescued again and thanks to our Super Hero Jenna, he was saved. Oh yea, lots of generous ones contributed to Will’s medical care. Will is mending nicely and will recover 100%. But what Will really needs is a forever home, and indoor forever home for obvious reasons.

Will's Wellness Wish is an indoor Forever Home
Will is located in Greenville, SC. Transport CAN be arranged. If you’re interested in Adopting or are with a Rescue Group and can foster Will, please contact me and we will be more than happy to get you in touch with the right folks. I have it on very good authority from Jenna (the Super Hero that rescued my Sister Dolly) that Will is a super lovebug.
