9 a.m.-5 p.m. Jan. 19. Animal Control Center at 7211 Sallie Mood Drive. The Animal Control Unit of the Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Department will hold its first Rabies Clinic of 2013 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. Inoculations will be available for $6 each. Animal Control officers will be on hand to help handle the cats and dogs at the Animal Control Center. The clinic will offer micro chipping for $20 and Chatham County Tag Registration will be on hand for animal tag/pet registration . During the clinic, the center will also be open for pet adoption. All dogs brought to the clinic must be leashed or kenneled and those prone to biting must be muzzled. Cats must be brought in carriers.
Donations for Save-A-Life
Save-A-Life Adoptions are in need of donations for their cat fosters parents. Can you donate some wet or dry kitten or cat food? Call Karen at 912-598-0561 for information. Or drop off at Save-A-Life’s Mobile Adoption from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturdays at the PetSmart Store on Abercorn Street.
Volunteers and fosters needed
Volunteers and fosters needed at SCPD Animal Control, 7211 Sallie Mood Drive. Volunteers can walk, bath, teach, and play with the animals lodged at the shelter. Volunteers to assist with the public and for office work also needed. Orientation is required, contact Diane 912-484-4438.
