Oregon Humane Society Black pets tend to have the longest wait for adoption at the Oregon Humane Society but starting this Friday they'll have the edge.
The agency is offering a 50 percent discount on adoptions of any black or predominately black pet for Black Friday. That means that adopting Dodger the black dog, for example, will cost $42.50 instead $85, and the fee for Little Debi the black cat will be $27.50 instead of $55.
The society is also offering a 2-for-1 cat adoption during the same period but that special can't be combined with the Black Friday deal.
All pets are spayed or neutered; comes with an identification microchip, collar and tag; has its initial vaccinations; and includes a free month of health insurance and a free first visit to a vet.
