Visiting EASEL’s weekend cat-adoption trailer – NJ.com

Every kitten and cat here has a story, and each one deserves a happy ending — a “forever, loving home.” This is the EASEL Animal Rescue League’s trailer, positioned next to Ewing Township’s Animal Shelter. On summer weekends, the trailer houses adoption-ready felines, homeless representatives of this year’s “kitten season.”

Between 10-2 on Saturdays and Sundays, you can visit with the cats, talk with the EASEL reps there and very possibly leave with a new family pet. And there are more cats and kittens in the shelter’s “cat room.”

It could be “Cuddles,” a whirlwind kitten who loves to play, or maybe a little black kitty. You might bond with Lavender, a small Calico who was found on the street, pregnant with a litter she couldn’t sustain. Now spayed, she needs tender affection.

Maybe you’ll gravitate to the striped baby cat at the green bowl, or one of the climbing kittens sharing a cage with their mom. No one should be in a cage.

Either of the soft little gray kittens may win your heart – or if it’s extra big, maybe you’ll take both Simon and Garfunkel with you. They’re siblings who are devoted to each other and want to stay together.
