Imagine a dog who is terrified, cowering in the corner of his kennel, and suffering from kennel stress. Then imagine this same dog, grateful and happy as he leaves the shelter behind.

He’d think he hit the jackpot. Right?
Well Big Mike did, but not for long. Mike is the 3-5 year-old terrified dog we described above.
Tragically, he was brought to the the Pennsylvania SPCA in Philly as a cruelty/neglect case seven months ago, when his owners abandoned him in an apartment after being evicted.
He waited for someone to notice him and last week, someone did. He went into foster care and, almost overnight, like most dogs after they leave the kennel behind, began to blossom and show his true personality. He was no longer scared and alone and quickly became relaxed and happy.
But just as Big Mike was settling in and enjoying his life, the worst possible thing happened to him: His foster dad’s parents bought him a puppy and now he’s decided to stop fostering Big Mike.
Sadly Big Mike was in foster care and is being returned to the shelter because they bought a new puppy from a pet store.
Sadly, Big Mike will be returned to the same shelter environment where he was so fearful and stressed.

So unfair we hope some one will give Big Mike a chance.
