Drive for Animal Shelters In Home Stretch

‘Twas the season of giving. Gone were the bell ringers in front of grocery stores and the sound of carols in the shopping malls.

But one woman, Debby Hartten, is still leading the charge for donations in the final days of the Warm Hearts Happy Paws drive at pet supply stores, animal hospitals and shelters around Montgomery County.

Hartten, a real estate agent and animal lover from Gaithersburg, has organized six locations in Rockville that donate to 11 animal rescues or shelters.
