A sold-out crowd enjoyed food, fun, and a double helping of “The King” as performed by tribute artist Scott “Elvis” Norton, in an evening to benefit Dogs and Cats Forever No-Kill Shelter.
More than 160 people attended the fundraiser held Saturday, November 21st, at the Polish American Club in Port St. Lucie, and enjoyed two sets performed by Mr. Norton-first as Elvis during his early career, and then, as “Elvis-the Vegas Years.” In addition, Larry Silver, owner of Groucho’s Productions, delighted the crowd with his HypnoLarrious comedy/hypnosis show, inviting members of the audience to “become stars of the show.
“More than $9,000 was raised for the shelter which is hoping to break ground soon on a new, 5,900 square foot facility, on the corner of Selvitz and Divine Roads in Fort Pierce. Dogs & Cats Forever currently cares for more than 170 homeless animals awaiting adoption.
